ASUS ROG Phone 6 Review:
Let’s review the Asus ROG Phone 6 categorically:
-
Display:
First, let’s talk about the Rog Phone 6’s display. It is a 6.78″ HDR 10+ AMOLED display, which is something to talk about. It’s got a 165Hz display, which helps a lot in competitive games like PUBG mobile and COD mobile, and helps you get the edge over other players with lesser refresh rates. Apart from that, it has a touch sampling rate of 720Hz, which means that any touch that you make is registered immediately, which is also an amazing thing to experience for Mobile gamers.
The other thing y like about the phone’s display is that it doesn’t have a notch or punch-hole cutout for the camera; rather, it has a straight line, narrow bezel at the top and bottom of the screen. This provides a way better viewing experience.
-
Design:
As you can see from the picture, the Rog Phone 6 has a very distinguished design, and even from afar, you can say that this phone was built for gaming. This phone has got a triple camera setup at its back, and just like older models, it has an RGB hologram at its back, which is totally controllable. It also has a secondary small display at the back, which I think is a unique and nice touch.
Weight
If we talk about how much this thing weighs, this thing is a bulky device weighing 239 grams, but thanks to the designers of the phone, even while being heavy, it is designed so well that I faced no problems using this device with a single hand.
Build
This phone is IP X4 splash resistant, which is quite an impressive feat to achieve for Asus, as they have crammed quite a huge battery and cooling solution in this phone. It has got a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection for the screen, which makes it quite sturdy. Just like its predecessor, the ROG Phone 6 still features 2 USB-C ports, and let us thank Asus for being thoughtful again for including a headphone jack, which I love and think is a feature I want other current Gen smartphones to have. This Mobile, just like its predecessors, has also got dual in-built triggers which are quite helpful in gaming.

Gaming & Performance:
Now let’s talk about what you all have been waiting for, which is nothing apart from the performance of this beast. All thanks to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset paired with Adreno 730 GPU, the ROG Phone 6 has a performance in its league. All apps load insanely fast due to the 16GB RAM on the phone, which for sure is overkill for a Mobile device. Here’s a GeekBench score of the Asus Rogue phone 6D by Unite4buy.
As if we talk about the gaming performance of this phone. As expected, this phone handles even the heaviest titles like Genshin Impact, COD Mobile, and PUBG Mobile with ease.
I ran Genshin for about 4 minutes straight on this phone with the Graphics settings cranked up to the highest possible, and the frames were very consistent. There was a very rare stutter now and then, art from that, I was getting locked at 60 FPS. What I noticed was that the phone only got hot from the centre part, which is a good thing as your fingers usually rest at the sides while gaming.
-
Battery:
All thanks to the power efficiency of the CPU and the dual-cell 6000mAh battery, the battery life of this thing is amazing. Even when I used the phone for a whole day for light gaming and social media, I couldn’t get the battery below 20%, which is very good, as battery life is essential for gaming.
The other amazing part is the 65-watt quick charge that you get with this phone, which lets you juice the phone up relatively quickly, in about an hour.

Camera
Main Camera:
Asus Rogue Phone 6 changed the concept of gaming phones, having bad cameras, all thanks to its Sony IMX 766 lenses. The camera results from the main camera are very satisfactory. The only thing that is bad about the camera is that it lacks OIS(Optical Image Stabilization), which can sometimes let you take blurry and shaky images; apart from that, the Camera is very good.
Secondary Camera
As if we talk about the front-facing12MPp camera. It is rather mediocre, but it is not bad at all. I think for the audience for which this phone is designed. It will do just fine in the camera sector.
My thoughts
I think that the ROG Phone 6 is a phenomenal device for hardcore mobile gamers. As a mobile gamer, you can’t get anything better right now. But if you have other uses for the phone, like taking a lot of photos or using social media apps like Snapchat a lot, which require amazing camera results, I think you’ll be better off not buying it.
